A solo VTT that keeps a running journal of your session as you play. Runs in your browser. Free. Built by someone who plays these games.
I was running a solo Starforged campaign, tracking the journal, the oracles, the moves, all of it by hand. The bookkeeping is what eventually stalled the whole thing. So I built the tool I wished I'd had, the one that keeps the cataloging out of the way so the play can stay the focus. Now I'm picking that campaign back up here.
Read the whole storyNo need to copy and paste your rolls from a dice roller. Configure it to auto-save your move rolls, or turn it off if you prefer to log manually.
In true Starforged style: the fiction comes first. Write your narrative prose whenever you want, or write narratives for your rolls as you roll them.
Sessions track your play. Start, stop, and pick up wherever you want. It's your game.
Here's what's actually in the tool today:
Rolls and oracle pulls land in the session log as they happen, with momentum and supply already adjusted. Type prose between them. Export the session to Markdown when you're done.
Every move from Starforged and Sundered Isles is searchable and clickable. Click one to roll it. The outcome lands in the journal and updates your momentum and progress.
Run one campaign or several. A character keeps their vows, bonds, and assets between sessions. A world keeps its own running list of settlements and factions, and remembers which truths have been revealed.
The session log is terminal-style, with a few themes included. The screenshots here use Swashbuckler; Phosphor is a green CRT, and there are a couple of others.
Open a tab and play. Your campaign data lives in your account, and you can export it whenever you want. Screenshare for couch co-op works if your group plays that way.

Fate Moves VTT is an independent project from one developer working in my spare time. It started after I realized I wanted a way to streamline some of the aspects of Starforged. There are other great tools out there online to play, but I was looking for something different, something that met how I liked to play the game. It grew from there into something I wanted to share with the community. The plan is to keep it small and focused, and to hone it with the people who actually want to use it.
If it earns a place at your table and you want to help support the development of Fate Moves VTT, my Buy Me a Coffee link is in the footer.
Fate Moves is just the virtual tabletop, not the game. Ironsworn: Starforged and Sundered Isles are designed by Shawn Tomkin and published by Tomkin Press. The rulebooks are where the moves and oracles actually come from. You can use Fate Moves VTT to play the game, but you'll need the rulebooks to understand the system and to learn how to play.
